Capt. Bob Montuoro is the best personal airboat tour guide of the Indian River County Marshlands, located west of I-95 in Vero Beach.

Capt. Bob is a long-time Indian River County resident and airboat tour guide. Retired with 31 years in the Fire Service, holding the rank of Lieutenant EMT, your safety on our airboat tours is always of utmost importance to Capt. Bob. However, fun and excitement are a very close second.

Since 1994, Capt. Bob holds a United States Coast Guard license, holds a commercial insurance policy, and has local boating knowledge and experience since 1981.

Captain John is Captain Bob’s son-in-law. John was born and raised in Florida. He graduated from the University of Miami where he excelled academically and also athletically in football.

In 2016, Captain Bob took Captain John under his wing, training him and educating him on the rich wildlife and history of our area.

John is also a local Firefighter Paramedic serving the community when he is not captaining the airboat. Holding a Master Captains License from the United States Coast Guard and the completion of the FWC Commissioners approved Airboat Operator Course, John is well educated, trained and passionate in the captaining of an Airboat and its passengers. Safety is always number one, John exemplifies this every day in his attention to detail in everything he does. We always say: “The difference is in the tour” and you will see this first hand in riding along with Captain John.
